Scholarships

All FireCracker, Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior dancers (ages 4-19) that are registered for the full 2-day workshop will participate in scholarship auditions.
Dancers must audition by their age as of January 1st of current year. If a dancer moves up to a higher level for classes, they MUST audition in the higher level room for scholarships. If a dancer moves down an age level, they are no longer eligible for scholarships.
The Faculty initiates the selection process by assessing not only the individual’s talent, but also their level of participation and interaction with others.

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

• All ages are as of January 1st of current year
• Only convention workshop fees are covered by scholarships. All other expenses, such as additional showcase tickets, are not covered by scholarships
• Scholarships are single use only and cannot be transferred from one convention to another.
• All scholarships must be used before the expiration date printed on the scholarship voucher
• One-day registration students are NOT eligible for scholarships
• Dancers ages 20+ are not eligible for scholarships

BREATHE IT!

In every regional city, each faculty member will be awarding scholarships in each of their individual classes to dancers that excel at their particular style. This will give students the opportunity to receive scholarships in all disciplines of dance: tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, ballet, etc. BREATHE IT Scholarships can be awarded to any dancer, ages 4-19, in the FireCracker, Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior workshop levels. The number of scholarship winners may vary depending on convention size and skill level.
Dancers are eligible for only one BREATHE IT! scholarship per season.
One day students are not eligible for BREATHE IT! Scholarships.
Dancers may only receive one BREATHE IT! Scholarship per season.
All BREATHE IT! Scholarship recipients receive:
  • Single City scholarship to be used at any of the 2024-2025 regionals

DANCE ASSISTANT:

Junior, Teen and Senior dancers chosen during the audition class will be continuing their audition during the Showcase to earn a Dance Assistant position.
Dance Assistant Awards will be based on an audition process during class and The Showcase.
The auditions will encompass multiple genres and will be set by that city’s attending faculty.
Recipients are entitled to:
Assistant Runner Up
• Perform in The Showcase at their regional city
• Receive a complimentary Showcase t-shirt
• 50% off any 2024-2025 Regional Event
Dance Assistant Winner
• Perform in The Showcase at their regional city
• Receive a complimentary Showcase t-shirt
• One BREATHE Tour Scholarship assisting faculty on tour during the 2024-2025 season.

ALL HEART Scholarship in collaboration with:thumbnail

In every regional city, Breathe faculty members will select one dancer from each level as the recipient of our “All Heart” scholarship. The ALL HEART is awarded to a dancer who may have excelled in class, someone who shows a lot of potential, or someone who stands out to the faculty as giving their everything throughout the weekend.  All Heart Scholarships can be awarded to any dancer, ages 8-19, in the Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior workshop levels.
The All Heart Scholarship recipient receives:
  • Single City FULL scholarship to be used during the current 2023-2024 season
  • 50% off one BREATHE city during our 2024-2025 regional season
  • Kendra Scott Rose Quartz collection piece to commemorate your weekend with us.  The Rose Quartz stone reflects living your life with an open heart.

Dancers are eligible for only one All Heart Scholarship per season. One day participants are not eligible
