The Assistant Program was designed to build a working relationship between industry dancers, teachers and choreographers and those students interested in pursuing dance in their future. These dancers will earn the privilege of assisting our faculty on our tour where they will be assisting and learning the following: o Work with Faculty to learn combinations before classes o Take convention classes when not assisting a class o Will showcase a routine of their choosing at the Saturday Night Showcase o Will be featured on social media and our webpage o Will have the opportunity to gain new friendships while networking with some of the best in the industry
How Do I Become a Dance Assistant?
By attending a convention all students in the Junior, Teen and Senior rooms will participate in the audition process. The audition will consist of a combination(s) and students selected for the showcase will then continue to learn the combination in a separate rehearsal. Saturday evening those selected students will perform in the Audition Showcase in front of instructors, family, friends and other studios and dancers. Students earning an Assistant position will be announced during the closing show on Sunday.
Students must be at least 10 years of age and must attend all convention classes. Assistant dancer positions are for one tour year. Those wanting to participate in multiple years must attend a least one convention as a student and must go through the audition process or may attend a summer audition if held.
**Assistants will have be allowed to choose their tour cities with their Home City being priority**
